Thick Banana Smoothie

 

Thick banana smoothie

This smoothy is very thick and tasty. As with my banana strawberry smoothie, if you desire a thinner smoothie, add milk to taste and adjust the sodium content accordingly.

3 servings: 25 mg. sodium per serving

9 ounces frozen skinless banana, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1-1/2 ounces no salt added walnuts
1 Tablespoon low-fat yogurt
1 Tablespoon ground flax seed
1/3 cup milk (1% fat)

Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth. Serve.
